Lorena is an ambitious television host on her way to success when she is kidnapped and kept in an underground cistern. This leads her to face her fears and uncover her antagonists.
The central theme here is the tabloid media, personified by the figure of Lorena Ribeiro (Fernanda Vasconcellos), a journalist and presenter of a local newspaper at the start of her career. Just minutes after she receives a professional award, she is kidnapped inside her own car, taken by her kidnapper to the outskirts of the of town, where the vehicle is later found by the police. The journalist’s whereabouts and the motivations for the crime, are not revealed and we see alternating points of view of the victim and the kidnapper, increasing the tension. She is fighting for her life while the kidnapper fights his demons to finish what he started.
